PUBLIC HEARING OF THE INCORPORATION REVIEW BOARD FOR THE INCORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF CAMPBELL, LA CROSSE COUNTY, WISCONSIN AS THE VILLAGE OF FRENCH ISLAND

NOTICE under section 66.0203 (9), Wis. Stats., is hereby given that the Wisconsin Incorporation Review Board ( Board ) and Department of Administration ( Department ) will conduct a public hearing on the proposal to create the Village of French Island from Town of Campbell territory on Wednesday, December 3 rd , 2025, from 4pm-6pm. The hearing will be a legislative-type hearing to assist the Board and Department in making their determination on this proposal as required by statute. Specifically, the Board must determine whether the petition meets the standards contained in section 66.0207, Wis. Stats.
This public hearing will be conducted both in-person and virtually. The in-person location will be at the Celebrations on the River event venue at 2100 Dawson Ave, La Crosse, WI 54603.

Interested persons may present information to the Board and Department that relates to the proposed incorporation. The information to be received should relate to issues described by law in subsections 66.0207 (1) and (2), Wis. Stats. You are urged to read these sections before the hearing.
The proposed incorporation includes the entire Town of Campbell as the Village of French Island.
Following the hearing, additional written information pertaining to the statutory standards identified above may be sent to Brad Vowels-Katter, Division of Intergovernmental Relations, Wisconsin Department of Administration at wimunicipalboundaryreview@wisconsin.gov, or mailed to P.O. Box 1645, Madison, WI 53701, postmarked no later than Friday, December 19, 2025. Any information postmarked after this date will not be considered.
