On February 23rd, 2022 the Natural Resources Board voted to oppose the DNR and DHS recommendation for proposed rule DG-15-19 NR 140 Item 4 (C) to establish a groundwater standard of 20 parts per trillion for combined PFOA and PFOS for private well owners in Wisconsin.

The Town of Campbell is one of many Wisconsin communities fighting for safe groundwater standards. Campbell is hosting Congressional Representative Ron Kind and Wisconsin state Senator Brad Pfaff at a public listening session at the Olivet Lutheran Church on Wednesday March 23rd, 2022 to discuss Campbell resident PFAS concerns at 1:30 PM. Parking is available.

Federal and State infrastructure funds, grants and other funding sources for a safe long-term water solution will be discussed. PFAS regulations at the National and State level will also be discussed. According to the Wisconsin Department of Health nearly 40% of Wisconsin residents use ground water from private wells.
